Libreri Mapou Creole and French is a bookstore on the fifty-nine hundred block of Northeast Second Avenue in Little Haiti. Its storefront is painted in bright, colorful pastels, a visual marker that helps it stand out among the surrounding buildings. Founded in nineteen ninety by the Haitian playwright and activist Jan Mapou, the shop began as a small booth at the nearby Caribbean Marketplace before moving into this dedicated space.
