Ford Island Control Tower

museum

The Ford Island Control Tower rises one hundred sixty-eight feet above the center of Pearl Harbor, a structure distinguished by its height and its proximity to the harbor’s historic battleship rows. Officially known as Building S84, this operations complex was still under construction when the attack on Pearl Harbor began on December seventh, nineteen forty-one. At that time, the control area was not yet in the tower itself, but was housed in the building at its base.
