USS Oklahoma (BB-37) Memorial

landmark

The USS Oklahoma Memorial is identified by four hundred twenty-nine individual white marble columns arranged in a V-shape on Ford Island. Dedicated on December seventh, two thousand seven, this site honors the sailors and Marines who lost their lives when the battleship capsized during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December seventh, nineteen forty-one. The memorial stands on the ground adjacent to where the Battleship Missouri is moored, which is the exact location where the Oklahoma was stationed when the attack occurred.
