The Peirce-Nichols House is a three-story wooden residence defined by its low-hipped roof and the decorative balustrades that encircle both the upper cornice and a small central deck. Standing at eighty Federal Street, it displays the work of Salem builder Samuel McIntire, who designed the structure in seventeen eighty-two for the merchant Jerathmiel Peirce.
