The Bergisel is a seven hundred forty-six meter hill rising south of Innsbruck where the Sill river meets the Inn Valley. It is defined by the sweeping, steel-lined ski jump tower designed by architect Zaha Hadid, which rises from the hillside as an organically curved, white-and-gray silhouette against the mountains.
