Bergisel Ski Jump

The Bergisel Ski Jump is recognizable by its sweeping, organic concrete tower that curves high above the hillside, creating a silhouette that looks more like a sculpture than a traditional sporting venue. This structure, completed in two thousand three and designed by the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, replaced older wooden and steel jumps that had served the site for decades. It is a premier location for international ski jumping, regularly hosting the third stage of the annual Four Hills Tournament.
