The Old Market, known locally as Psah Chas, sits under a massive roof on the west side of the Siem Reap River. Its core structure dates to the French colonial period, making it the oldest central marketplace in the city. While newer shopping areas have appeared around town to serve the tourism industry, this space maintains its original function as a working market where local residents buy fresh produce, meat, and household goods.
