The Royal Independence Gardens, also known as the Royal Crusade for Independence Gardens, is a small, tree-lined park bordering the Siem Reap River. Its name commemorates the nineteen fifties, when King Sihanouk and General Lon Nol used the adjacent Royal Residence to plan the movement that ended French colonial rule in Cambodia.
