La Bellevilloise

La Bellevilloise stands at nineteen to twenty-one rue Boyer, identifiable by its expansive multi-level brick facade that once housed a revolutionary workers' cooperative. Founded in eighteen seventy-seven by a group of mechanics, the building was designed to serve as a social hub for the modest workers of the twentieth arrondissement. It followed the principle of direct exchange, with the motto, "from the producer to the consumer," aiming to provide affordable goods and a space for political education.
