Jahan Nama Garden

Jahan Nama Garden is defined by its strict, octagonal symmetry and the towering, centuries-old cypress trees that line its grid of paths. As one of the oldest gardens in Shiraz, it has survived since at least the fourteenth century, though its current layout largely reflects the eighteenth-century vision of Karim Khan Zand. The garden is enclosed by a high brick wall and centers on an octagonal pavilion known as a Kolah Farangi, which rests among four ponds fed by the historic Roknabad stream.
