The Jaffa Light is a ten-meter-tall cylindrical lighthouse marked by red and white horizontal bands, perched on a hilltop overlooking the old Jaffa port. Originally built by French engineers in eighteen sixty-five, the structure served to guide ships carrying cargo through the Mediterranean, particularly the increasing exports of Jaffa oranges.
