Narukawa Art Museum

The Narukawa Art Museum is a hillside building featuring a fifty-meter-wide glass panorama lounge that frames views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji. Opened in nineteen eighty-eight, this private museum houses a collection of over four thousand modern nihonga paintings. These works follow traditional Japanese techniques, such as using mineral and shell-based pigments, but they incorporate modern compositions and denser color layers.
