Aux Merveilleux de Fred

A large, ornate chandelier hangs inside this shop, visible even from the street. This patisserie in the Yaraicho neighborhood is the first Asian branch of a French company founded by pastry chef Frédéric Vaucamps. The shop specializes in a traditional meringue and cream cake called the Merveilleux, a dessert Vaucamps spent years perfecting after starting his culinary career at fourteen.
