Jardín Plaza Hidalgo

Jardín Plaza Hidalgo is a cobblestoned public square in the center of the historic Coyoacán neighborhood, recognizable by its ornate, nineteenth-century cast-iron bandstand topped with a bronze eagle. The plaza is anchored by a bronze statue of Miguel Hidalgo, the leader of the Mexican War of Independence. Its grounds sit directly adjacent to the Jardín Centenario, and together, these two spaces form the focal point of the area.
