Casa de Cultura Jesús Reyes Heroles

The Casa de Cultura Jesús Reyes Heroles is defined by its colonial-era estate architecture and the massive, ancient stone cross that stands in its first courtyard. Located on Francisco Sosa, the property dates back to around seventeen eighty when it functioned as a paper mill on land once known as Izotitlán. The estate remained a private residence for generations, passing from the family of Juan de Luna Celis through the Espinoza de los Monteros and finally to the Armida family, who expanded the grounds significantly during the nineteen forties while preserving the original structure.
