Rosarium Vondelpark

The Rosarium in Vondelpark is defined by its geometric layout of eighty hexagonal flower beds, sixty-three of which are dedicated to roses. This rose garden, situated in the northwestern part of the park, took its current form during a period of extensive park renovations in nineteen fifty-eight. Today, it contains approximately nine thousand five hundred roses across sixty different varieties, including heritage cultivars that are preserved through the dedicated labor of local volunteers who manage the pruning, weeding, and ongoing horticultural care.
