Vondelparkpaviljoen

The Vondelparkpaviljoen is a neo-Renaissance building, identifiable by its ornate facades and the prominent terrace overlooking the greenery. Completed in eighteen eighty-one, it was designed by architect Willem Hamer to replace an earlier wooden chalet that had served visitors since the park’s inception. The structure sits as a central landmark within the forty-seven-hectare park, which was established by private citizens in the eighteen sixties to provide a public space for riding and walking.
