Torensluis

The Torensluis is the widest bridge in Amsterdam, spanning forty-two meters across the Singel canal. You can identify it by its unusual breadth and the lighter-colored stones embedded in the pavement, which trace the exact foundation of a medieval tower that once stood here. Built in sixteen forty-eight, it holds the record as the city's oldest stone bridge preserved in its original form.
