The National Holocaust Museum stands on the Plantage Middenlaan, housed within the former teacher training college known as the Hervormde Kweekschool. Its facade, built with robust brickwork, reflects the style of the Amsterdam School and remains as a tangible connection to the city's past. Inaugurated in twenty-twenty-four, this is the first institution in the Netherlands dedicated to the complete history of the persecution and murder of Dutch Jews during the Second World War.
