The Kamienica pod Złotym Słońcem, or House Under the Golden Sun, stands in the western row of Wrocław's Market Square with a baroque facade featuring a striking portal and balcony. Its exterior is the work of Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt, the architect who significantly shaped the appearance of Vienna. While its current silhouette reflects a major seventeenth and eighteenth-century redesign, the building rests on foundations dating back to the thirteenth century, with medieval window recesses still visible within its structure.
