The White Stork Synagogue is a three-story brick structure built in the Neoclassical style, distinguished by the large, airy prayer hall at its center. Completed in eighteen twenty-nine, the building takes its name from an inn that previously occupied this plot of land. Architect Carl Ferdinand Langhans designed the project during a period when the city was known as Breslau and formed part of the Kingdom of Prussia.
