Dawny gmach Miejskiej Kasy Oszczędności

The former City Savings Bank stands out as a flat, modernist block in a market square otherwise defined by colorful, historic townhouses. Designed by architect Heinrich Rump and built between nineteen thirty and nineteen thirty-one, the structure replaced three medieval-era tenement houses. It represents an early instance of a high-rise building in the city, constructed as the first phase of an ambitious urban redevelopment plan that never fully materialized.
