Taylor's Port

Taylor’s Port in Vila Nova de Gaia is defined by its long, dark warehouses with thick granite walls and high ceilings, designed to keep the interior cool and stable throughout the year. This traditional architecture protects the firm’s extensive reserves of wood-aged and vintage ports from the heat, ensuring the wine matures slowly. Founded in sixteen ninety-two by Job Bearsley, an Englishman who originally traded in salt cod, the house eventually shifted its focus to the Douro Valley.
