The Armenian Church of Surp Takavor features a prominent bell tower rising above the surrounding buildings in Kadıköy. The history of the site reaches back to seventeen twenty-two, with the construction of a church named Surp Asdvadzadzin. This structure sustained damage from multiple fires and earthquakes over the following century, which necessitated repeated reconstruction. The masonry building that stands at this location today dates to eighteen fifty-eight.
