The Moore is identifiable by its grand, four-story interior atrium, which is spanned by a sprawling, fluid sculpture titled Elastika. Built during the nineteen twenties Florida land boom, this Neoclassical structure originally served as a warehouse and showroom for a family furniture business, Moore and Sons. The site itself was once a pineapple plantation, belonging to the businessman Theodore V. Moore.
