Hawaii Army Museum Society

The U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii is housed inside Battery Randolph, a massive, windowless concrete bunker with walls and roofs up to twelve feet thick. Built in nineteen eleven, the battery was once a primary piece of coastal defense designed to protect Honolulu Harbor from naval invasion with its fourteen-inch guns. These weapons could fire projectiles as far as fourteen miles out to sea.
