The four large basalt boulders known as the Stones of Life, or Nā Pōhaku Ola Kapaemāhū ā Kapuni, sit inside a fenced enclosure near the Waikiki police substation. You can identify them by their arrangement on a raised stone platform, often adorned with flower leis left by visitors. These boulders represent a tradition of healing and inclusion, honoring four legendary figures—Kapaemāhū, Kinohi, Kahaloa, and Kapuni—who are said to have traveled from Tahiti to Hawaii centuries ago.
