Lake View Cemetery

historic

Lake View Cemetery sits on forty acres of hillside in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, easily identified by its open, park-like expanse that offers views toward Lake Washington. Founded in eighteen seventy-two by Seattle’s oldest Masonic lodge, the cemetery holds the graves of the city's early pioneers, including Arthur Denny, Henry Yesler, and Thomas Mercer. While it serves as a historic record of Seattle’s founding families, the site attracts thousands of visitors each year to the graves of martial artist and actor Bruce Lee and his son, Brandon Lee.
