The World’s Smallest Floating Homes Museum

The World’s Smallest Floating Homes Museum occupies the Keasler Cottage, a petite, two hundred thirty-six square foot structure at twenty-three twenty-nine Fairview Avenue East. Once neglected for over a decade and perched precariously half on land and half on the water due to shifting hillside soil, the cottage underwent a multi-year renovation by the Floating Homes Association to save it from collapse. Named for Bill Keasler, a long-time president of the association, the building now preserves the history of the Lake Union houseboat community.
