Marina Mirage is identified by the white sails that rise above the tropical treeline along the Gold Coast’s Broadwater. Opened in September nineteen eighty-eight, the site was originally developed by businessman Christopher Skase to provide a luxury shopping destination for visitors to the neighboring Sheraton Mirage Resort. It quickly established itself as a hub for high-end fashion and waterfront dining, fundamentally altering the city’s social identity during its first decades.
