Sint-Annakerk

The Sint-Annakerk is a Gothic hall church with an exterior marked by plain, austere walls and late Gothic lancet windows. Built in the early seventeenth century and consecrated in sixteen twenty-four, the church sits in eastern Bruges as a replacement for an earlier structure that once stood outside the city's second wall. Its simple facade hides a famously elaborate Baroque interior, earning it the local nickname of the drawing room church of Bruges.
