The House of Culture in Helsinki, known locally as Kulttuuritalo, is defined by its striking curved walls of red brick and a massive canopy that stretches over the entrance. Located on Sturenkatu, this building is a signature work of the architect Alvar Aalto, who designed the structure during his red-brick period in the nineteen fifties.
