Promenade du Thiou

The Promenade du Thiou follows the banks of the Thiou, a three-and-a-half-kilometer river that flows from Lake Annecy to the Fier. This waterway holds the distinction of being the shortest river in France and acts as the only natural outlet for the lake. The path winds along the water’s edge, transitioning from the dense, historic stone architecture of the old town into quieter, wooded stretches.
