The Église Saint-Eustache reaches into the Parisian skyline with a massive blend of Flamboyant Gothic buttresses and an unfinished classical façade. Stretching three hundred and forty-six feet in length with a nave rising over one hundred feet, its scale rivals that of a cathedral. Construction began in fifteen thirty-two and continued for over a century, replacing a smaller sanctuary that once occupied this site near the historic Les Halles market.
