The Médiathèque Noailles is recognizable by its grand neoclassical façade, which stands as a remnant of nineteenth-century luxury in Cannes. Built in eighteen eighty-one, this five-story residence was originally the Villa Rothschild, commissioned by Baroness Betty de Rothschild. The estate was designed to evoke the elegance of an Italian Renaissance mansion and is surrounded by gardens featuring a mix of Mediterranean, tropical, and Asian plants.
