Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds

museum

The Documentation Center sits within the northern wing of the Congress Hall, a massive, horseshoe-shaped structure that was never finished. Architect Günther Domenig designed a glass and steel passageway that pierces the building diagonally, creating a sharp contrast against the heavy stone of the original site. This building is part of a thirteen-square-kilometer complex intended to serve as a monumental backdrop for Nazi party rallies between nineteen thirty-three and nineteen thirty-eight.
