The Luitpoldhain is a expansive green park marked by a collection of stone pylons that stand near the edge of the grounds. Originally created in nineteen hundred and six for the Bavarian State Exhibition, the site is named for Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria. While today it serves as a tranquil space for strollers and hosts annual open-air classical concerts, its grounds contain the surviving structures of a project that once turned this peaceful grove into a primary site for Nazi Party rallies.
