Hall of Honour

The Hall of Honour, or Ehrenhalle, is an arcaded stone structure defined by a series of pillars and an adjacent terrace featuring pedestals that once held fire bowls. Designed by the architect Fritz Mayer, it was completed in nineteen thirty during the Weimar Republic to serve as a memorial for the nine thousand, eight hundred and fifty-five Nuremberg soldiers who died in the First World War.
