The Luitpoldhalle was an expansive industrial structure of steel and glass, built in nineteen oh six for the Bavaria State Exhibition. Named for Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria, the hall was originally intended to house large machinery, but the National Socialists later remodeled its exterior with limestone slabs to serve their own purposes. Inside, they installed a massive pipe organ and dozens of loudspeakers to amplify the voices of party leaders during the Nuremberg Rallies.
