Playa de Ammoudi

Ammoudi Bay sits at the base of steep, burnt-orange volcanic cliffs directly below the village of Oia. You can identify this harbor by the cluster of traditional, pastel-colored buildings pressed against the rock, and the clear turquoise water where fishing boats remain moored. The name itself translates to sandy in Greek, though the shore is primarily defined by rocky platforms and volcanic stone.
