Dulces El Sombrerón is a shop in Antigua Guatemala dedicated to preserving the tradition of handmade Guatemalan confections. Founded on March fourteen, nineteen eighty-six, by José Domingo Parés, the business emerged from a desire to celebrate local gastronomy through classic recipes. The store takes its name from a well-known Guatemalan legend about a small man in a wide-brimmed hat who serenades young women with a silver guitar.
