Chausath Khambha

Chausath Khamba is a square mausoleum constructed entirely of white marble, recognizable by its sixty-four pillars that support twenty-five interior bays. Built between sixteen twenty-three and sixteen twenty-four during the reign of Emperor Jahangir, the structure was commissioned by Mirza Aziz Koka, a prominent official and the foster brother of Emperor Akbar, to serve as his own family burial site.
