The Kote Sri Prasanna Venkataramana Swamy Temple is defined by its stone walls and the prominent Garuda Stambha, or pillar, standing before the entrance. Built in sixteen eighty-nine by the Mysore ruler Chikka Devaraja Wodeyar, the temple features a combination of Dravidian and Vijayanagara architectural styles. It is located directly adjacent to the site of the former Bangalore Fort and shares a wall with the summer palace of Tipu Sultan.
