The Hasrat Jaipuri Building in Shrimal Colony is the former haveli of the celebrated poet and lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri. Born Iqbal Hussain in nineteen twenty-two, he spent his childhood in this city before moving to Mumbai to build a career that eventually made him a giant of Hindi cinema.
