Jalebi Chowk, or Jaleb Chowk, is a large, open courtyard located within the City Palace complex in Jaipur. While the name often leads visitors to expect a local sweet, the term jaleb actually refers to a common ground used historically for public assemblies. When the reigning kings of Jaipur wished to address their kingdom or display military strength, this square served as the primary gathering point for soldiers and the public alike.
