Akbar's Church, also known as the Church of the Pieta, is a small stone building that features a distinctive blend of French, Portuguese, and Mughal architectural elements. It is widely recognized as the first Roman Catholic Church built in the Mughal Empire. Emperor Akbar the Great, known for his interest in religious debate, invited Jesuit priests from Goa to his court in fifteen eighty and provided the land for this church as a gift.
