The Akbari Masjid is a red sandstone structure tucked near the bustling Kinari Bazaar in Agra. While its name leads many to associate it with the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, historical records indicate it was commissioned by Begum Izzat-un-Nissa, known as the Akbarabadi Begum, during the reign of Shah Jahan around eighteen fifty-three.
