Tonosawa Station is a small stop tucked into a deep ravine, where the platform sits sandwiched between two tunnels. Because of this layout, the track switch for trains heading toward Gora is tucked inside the darkness of the tunnel itself. The station is accessible only by a narrow footpath, giving the site a secluded character that contrasts with the bustling trains passing through.
