Bansuirō Fukuzumi

Bansuirō Fukuzumi is a long-established ryokan in Hakone Yumoto, recognized by its distinctive architecture that blends traditional Japanese sukiya-zukuri style with pseudo-Western design elements. Founded in sixteen twenty-five, this inn has operated for nearly four centuries, drawing travelers who once walked the nearby Tokaido road. In two thousand two, its historic wing became the first active ryokan in Japan to be designated an Important Cultural Property.
