Fukuya Kuzuryu Mochi

Fukuya Kuzuryu Mochi in Yumoto is a shop built around a signature baked rice cake, known as Kuzuryu Mochi. The shop is easily identified by the thermal footbath located right at its entrance, where travelers sit to soak their feet in warm water while eating. Established in two thousand fourteen, the shop operates with a workshop in the back that produces these chewy confections, filled with sweet red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans and shaped using rice flour from Saga Prefecture.
